My name is Jason Fan and I am a research assistant at the Center for Bioinformatics and Computational Biology at University of Maryland, College Park working with Professor Max Leiserson as well as Professors Ben Hescott and Mark Crovella (at Northeastern University and Boston University respectively). In May 2017, I graduated summa cum laude from Tufts University with a B.S in Computer Science and Mathematics.
In the past, I have been a rock climber and a teacher. My work as a teaching assistant and teaching fellow impacted over 350 fellow students at Tufts and my conributions were recognized by the Class of 1942 Prize Scholarship.
Currently, I am working on problems relating to statistical machine learning and representation learning for graphs, particularly for protein-protein networks. Check out our preprint here!
